CROATIA
YOUR DESTINATION GUIDE

Travelling in Croatia you will find remnants of Greek, Roman, Venetian and Habsburg rule, while the Croatian people have kept their own identity and warmly welcome visitors.

The 16th-century walled town of Dubrovnik in its stunning Adriatic setting is a vision of ancient walls and terracotta-tiled roofs. The capital of Zagreb is less visited by tourists but has an impressive array of museums and historic churches, and a cosmopolitan populace.

Croatia’s 1,104-mile coastline offers plenty of opportunity for beachside relaxation and swimming in the warm waters of the Adriatic Sea. There are also over a thousand islands and islets along this coastline, with Mljet, Hvar, Vis and Korcula some of the most popular for holidaymakers.

The summer months of July and August are busiest for visitors but Spring and Autumn are also beautiful – and quieter – in Croatia.
