With mesmerising rural views across the Niccone Valley from the exceptional swimming pool, this small family villa is big on character. Sympathetically converted from an old tobacco barn, its sturdy stone walls keep the house cool in summer, while a wood-burning stove and a big open fireplace add warmth in spring and autumn. Mod cons like WiFi and satellite TV have been unobtrusively installed within the rustic rooms, where cobblestone flooring, timber beamed ceilings and comfy country furniture create an innately welcoming atmosphere. On the ground floor is a twin room and two sitting rooms, one leading into the kitchen diner, from which a typically simple staircase leads to the double bedroom above.
