This is a beautiful stone townhouse hidden away down in one of Pollensa’s narrow mediaeval streets, in the heart of Pollensa Old Town. It has been renovated with great style and sensitivity to the original character of the building.
There is a lovely rooftop pool terrace with clear views across to the Puig de Maria hill and the village; and it is still just a few minutes walk from Pollensa main square. Inside, the house is nice furnished, comfortable and airy with white walls, terracotta-tiled floors and some exposed stone walls and original beams.
There is a combination of traditional Majorcan wooden furniture and contemporary furniture in neutral colours. On the lower level there is a large lounge dining area with an open plan fitted kitchen. A door from the kitchen leads outside to the lovely back raised terraces accessed by steps.
On the upper floor there are three bedrooms: two twin rooms and a double room. The twin rooms are sharing a shower room, while the master double bedroom has an en suite bathroom. All the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and air conditioning units (in line with local energy saving initiatives, the property has timed air conditioning on all units from 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM – these times cannot be extended and/or changed).
The terraces have amazing views over to the Puig de Maria hill and the 15th century monastery building at the top. It is an incredibly relaxing place for swimming and reading in the daytime, and there is also a separate covered barbecue area for those who really enjoy dinner al fresco.
Casa Leon is a great townhouse full of history and Majorcan character. It is really well placed for everything in Pollensa: the cafes, restaurants, shops, and historic sites of the Old Town. And the Puerto de Pollensa beach and sea are only a ten minutes’ drive away. It is a lovely house for friends or a family with older children; the different levels, steps and open staircases may be less easy for young children and people with walking difficulties.
