Blessed with a sea view such as this, the villa’s huge patio doors are an essential feature, effectively bringing the outside in as they open onto a shady canopied area to one side of the pool. There’s an indoor dining suite for occasions when you prefer a little more formality, however it’s a fair bet that you’ll opt to spend most mealtimes on the outside dining terrace where a built-in barbecue and bread oven are on hand to help you whip up a tasty dish or two.

A number of mini-markets and tavernas are available nearby while the pretty stretch of sandy beach at Trapezaki is only one kilometre away. Enjoy a stroll here in the cool, shallow waters or make the most of the water’s clarity and indulge in a little snorkelling over the nearby rocks. The island capital, Argostoli, is only 20 minutes’ drive from the villa and is a great day out, especially for those occasions when you feel like letting someone else take care of the cooking. Its pretty harbour is a lovely setting for a delicious Greek meal and you may even spot one its famous local turtles.
