‘Oneiro’ is Greek for ‘dream’, and this cheerful, colourful, character house certainly has the criteria for a dream holiday, in its views, its quiet but convenient location, and in the villa itself. There are two tavernas just a short 10 minute stroll away in Avlaki or a little further will bring you to St Stephano village with a cluster of tavernas.

With pastel décor and vibrant fabrics indoors, and outer walls colour-washed in warm burnt-orange, the house looks out over bright blossomed shrubs and olive grove slopes to the deep blue of the bay. In the foreground, a softly curved infinity pool is a cool splash of pale turquoise filling the lower terrace. In the distance are the heat-hazed mountains of Albania.

In-between, Avlaki’s pebble beach forms a broad crescent of brilliant white, its water sports and seafront tavernas easily accessed just 1.3km from the villa.
